The Annual General Body Meeting of Eshwar Nagar
Residents Association was held at Vaishnavi Saha Bhavana, Manipal on 23rd
September 2017. The programme commenced with invocation by Ms. Sumithra H.
Kalmady. Dr. Gowri, the President of the Association welcomed the guests. The
President reiterated the importance of coming together to get the work done by
Government. Madam welcomed the respectable members of the Association in order
to devote their prime time for the Association activities.
Later, the Secretary of the Association, Mr.
Rajvarma Ariga presented the Annual Report with the help of PPT Slides, which
included all the developmental activities of the Association pertaining to the
last year. Later Dr. Shiva Prasad, the Treasurer of the Association presented
the Annual Accounts of the Association which was approved by the Annual General
Body. Prof. HKV Rao edited the Newsletter of the Association. Dr. Gowri, the
President of the Association released the Newsletter and distributed the copy
to the guests. Dr. Gowri passed a resolution to increase the subscription of
members to 500 from Rs. 400, which was approved the General Body.
Sri HNS Rao, the senior EC Member conducted the
proceeding to elect new office bearers. The elected new office bearers
included, Prof. Yejnesh Sharma (President), Mr. Harish G Kalmadi – (Secretary), Dr.
Sureshramana Mayya (Vice-President), Dr. Arun Maiya, (Joint Secretary) and Dr.
Raghavendra Kamath, Treasurer of the Association and twenty EC Members. Dr.
Virupaksha Devaramane introduced Dr. Yajnesh Sharma, the new President to the
participants. Later, Dr. Sureshramana Mayya introduced the new members. Dr. Sharma explained in detail this idea of
improving the members living through participative approach. He felicitated Dr.
Gowri, the outgoing President.
The children of the members and Dr. Suresh
Shenoy, Dr. Ullas Kamath conducted a musical programme, which was well
appreciated by the members. Shri Harish Kalmadi, the Secretary of the new
Executive Committee proposed a vote of thanks. Dr. Shobha U Kamath compered the
whole programme.
