On 1st September 2024, the Eshwar Nagar Residents Welfare Association enthusiastically celebrated Vanamahotsava, a festival dedicated to the plantation and conservation of trees, at Eshwar Nagar. The event was a resounding success, marked by the association's members' active participation and collective efforts.
The program was meticulously
coordinated by Sri Ganapathi Kamath, Treasurer of the Association, and Dr.
Yajnesh Sharma, Executive Committee Member and Past President of the
Association. Their leadership ensured the event was well-organized and
meaningful, reflecting the association's commitment to environmental
sustainability.
A significant highlight of the
event was planting numerous saplings across various strategic locations in the
area. These saplings were carefully selected to ensure they would thrive in the
local environment and contribute positively to the community's green cover.
The logistical aspects of the
event were expertly managed by Sri Rajvarma Ariga, who oversaw the procurement
of high-quality saplings, the installation of protective fencing, and the
arrangement of labour for the preparation of the planting sites. His efforts
ensured that the saplings were planted efficiently and securely, giving them
the best chance to grow and flourish.
The event was graced by the
presence of notable community members, including Col. Shanbhag, Dr. Lavanya,
Dr. Sureshramana Mayya, Executive Committee Member, Sri Rajkumar Mascreen and many others who
supported the initiative. Their participation underscored the community's
shared commitment to environmental stewardship.
The success of the Vanamahotsava
was greatly enhanced by the generous contributions of the following members of
the association: Sri Rajvarma Ariga, Sri Yogish Pai, Sri Jayanth Nayak, Sri
Ganapathi Kamath, Dr. Lavanya, Dr. Shyamsunder Bhat N, Mrs. Susheela Punja, Sri
Rajkumar Mascreen, and Dr Raghu Chandrashekhar H. Their collective efforts,
including donations of funds and resources, were instrumental in ensuring the
event's success.
