EC Meeting was held at the residence of Dr. Sureshramana Mayya, the Vice President of Eshwar Nagar Residents' Welfare Association on 12th August at 6 pm. The following members of the Executive Committee attended the meeting.

- Approval of Audited Statements of Accounts for the financial year 2018-2019.
- Fixing the date, time and venue for the forthcoming meeting. The members unanimously decided to conduct the Annual General Body Meeting on September 14, 2019
- Regarding the arrangements for food and entertainment for the AGM. Sri Srinivasa Poojari, the Senior Member of the Association decided to meet the dinner expenditure over and above the usual expenditure that the Association used to incur. It was also decided to offer the responsibility of choosing the menu items to Sri Srinivasa Poojari, who agreed to make the dinner the appropriate one.
- It was also decided to shortlist the proposed office bearers of the Association for the year 2019-2021
- The EC commended the work done by the Treasurer Prof. Raghavendra Kamath. The President appreciated the dedicated work of Prof. Kamath who explained in detail the Receipts and Payments Account and Balance Sheet. Sri HNS Rao clarified the requirements of Benevolent Fund, for which the Senior Member Sri Srinivasa Rao clarified that FD can be shown as Benevolent Fund, which cannot be encashed. The members accepted the Audit Report.
Due to the efforts of our Councillor, Sri Raghupathi Bhat, the present Member of the Legislative Assembly of Udupi participated in the Meeting along with Sri Manunatha, our Councillor.
The following issues were discussed.
- Measures taken to improve the water problem of Udupi and Manipal - Dr. Yajnesh Sharma explained in detail the relationship of Eshwar Nagar Resident Association with the Councillor, appreciated the efforts of Sri Raghupathi Bhat for the development of Udupi.
- Sri Raghupathi Bhat explained the non-cooperation of officials, how the situation improved recently after the election of new Government.
- Dr. Arun Mayya thanked the efforts of Sri Raghupathi Bhat for solving the problems of Manipal in the speedy improvement of roads.
- Bhat explained his efforts to develop Manipal as Smart City under Public Private Participation. He dwelt in detail his efforts to get it approved by the Government. Dr. Arun Mayya thanked Sri Bhat for paying attention to the speedy implementation of smart city project and his efforts to get approval by Dr. Ranjan Pai.
- Sri Bhat explained in detail about hurdles in the completion of road between Udupi and Parkala. He assured to take up the work rapidly after the rainy season. He informed that he discussed with Manipal authorities and resolve the issues connected with delay.
- Sri Srinivasa Rao tried to get assurances from Sri Raghupath Bhat about the reduction of water pressure in certain areas.
- Sri Bhat explained in detail about the Varahi to Baje water project, the distance, the obstacles, treatment plant, giving of water to all the panchayat in the way, the using of water which goes to sea, tender process, the capacity of that plant to supply 24/7 with pressure to Udupi including Eshwar Nagar.
- Dr. Vidya Saraswathi raised the menace of stealing cattle, the recent taking away of cattle on July 25 at 11.30 pm, the complaint lodged by Dr. Vidya, Sri Bhat telephoned to Police Officer and enquired at the spot, the officer assured to take care in future and assured to trace the culprits. Sri Bhat informed that it is better to give complaint in writing rather than informing through phone, as it was obligatory to probe if it would be given in writing.
- The reason for the delay of work in front of Emergency Ward of KMC, the rainwater channel, ht lack of repair, his discussion with Dr. Ballal, the developments, Sri Prabhakara Sharma, the then AC, Government Property, the expenditure incurred by Government as conclusive evidence to whom that property belongs, he made in-depth analysis of all the minute things associated with extension of road, the shifting of middle line, the Oxygen Plant, the acquisition of land, the CLA Burden, the owner of land, hand over delay, the members of ERA raised many other questions.
- He is confident of proper planning of the entire city, bus stand, smart city, auto stand, the role of the architecture department, command centre, recording, the possibility of financial return to MAHE, drone surveillance, his interest, his involvement in the estimation committee, his visit of Bhopal, Bhuveneshwar, the PPP Model of Bhuvaneshwar, his inspiration from that project to have PPP, the renovating of 19 auto stand, the IOE, the investment of Rs. 30 crores, the interest of Dr. Ranjan Pai, the ability to run it, who has to shoulder the responsibility of running, keeping in view of Upgrading of Manipal, the improvement of lot of people of Manipal. He assured all the possible help. He also expressed his constraints, powerless councellors, lack of cooperation of DC, his efforts to supply water in is personal capacity by supplying 12 tankers and many other related issues. All the members got the unique opportunity of interacting with their leader for the development of Eshwar Nagar and other areas of Udupi.
