Dandiya Night by the Ladies Wing of Eshwar Nagar



Eshwar Nagar Residents’Welfare  Association which believes in unity in diversity organized a “Dandiya Night Celebration” on October 9th 2019. The fun-filled event started with a brief description of Navaratri given by Ms. Sashikala Rajaverma Ariga. The event started with singing of prayer song, Arathi and Saraswathi Pooja by Ladies Wing of Eshwar Nagar. All the members of Ladies Wing of Eshwar Nagar participated in the Arathi with Dr Gowri in the front. Later the Senior Advisory Members of Eshwar Nagar Residents’ Welfare Association Sri HNS Rao, Sri Srinivasa Rao, Col. Madhav Shanbhag, Office Bearers of the Association – Sri Rajavarma Ariga, Sri Harish G Kalmadi, Sri K Nagaraj, Dr. Raghavendra Kamath and Dr. Sureshramana Mayya inaugurated the festival with lighting of traditional lamp.
Mrs. Sumithra H Kalmadi rendered a song, and later Miss Ritika entertained the audience with her excellent performance, which was appreciated by all. Following this, it was time for the Dandiya Dance to begin. The Ladies Wing of Eshwar Nagar under the direction of Ms. Muktha danced their hearts out to traditional and remix of Garba and Dandiya songs, forgetting religious, positional and regional diversities. Navaratri is a portrait of colour, action, music and togetherness. Later all the participants including Dr. Gowri, Dr. Lavanya, Dr. Vidya danced to the tune of an eclectic mix of music which will make the revellers remember the joyous celebrations for years to come.
The delightful sight of energetic young boys and girls, swirling in graceful rhythmic Garba and enthusiastically playing Dandiya under the direction of Muktha Madam evoked admiration among all present there. Everyone enthralled in the moment of togetherness, irrespective of whether they were seniors, juniors, all added to the fun and colour.
Mr. Nagaraj, Secretary of Eshwar Nagar Residents Association made elaborate arrangements for the distribution of Panchagajjaya, Juice to all the participants.Sri Rajavarma Ariga, Ms. Sashikala Rajavarma Ariga, Dr. Archana devoted their prime time for the success of this Dandiya Social. Finally, Dr. Sureshramana Mayya, the President of Eshwar Nagar Residents Welfare Association thanked for the contribution of members.

All the members of Eshwar Nagar Residents Welfare Association are invited along with their family. Ms. Muktha  of Eshwar Nagar will direct the show.

Clean Eshwar Nagar by Various Associations


Mahatma Gandhi, the pioneer of India's freedom struggle, and Lal Bahadur Shastri, the second Prime Minister of India, were born on October 2. They coined popular national slogans that resonated with masses. Eshwar Nagar Residents Welfare Association, Sneha Sangama and all the like-minded associations of Eshwar Nagar celebrated 150th Gandhi Jayanthi Celebration and 115 Birth Day of Pandith Lal Bahadur Shastri on October 2, 2019 at Eshwar Nagar. Early morning, at 7 am, the public of Eswhar Nagar assembled at Big Boss Circle and started moving towards Auto Point Circle of Eshwar Nagar. At Auto Point, the small function culminated with offering flowers to Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri and Mr Dinesh Hegde Athradi, President of Sahakara Bharathi spoke on the values inculcated by Gandhi and Shastri and he appealed to emulate the rare qualities of Gandhiji and Shastri. Later, the Dr Sureshramana Mayya, the President of Eshwar Nagar Residents Association also spoke on virtues imparted by Gandhiji. Harish G Kalmadi of Sneha Sangama proposed a vote of thanks. Mr Manjnatha the Counsellor and artist Srinath Manipal made all the logistic arrangements. He also welcomed the participants for the beautiful gesture to assemble in large numbers.

Mr. Manjunath, the local Counsellor arranged breakfast, Mr Maddodi of MIT brought a large number of students to clean Eshwar Nagar. Planning Officer of Yerlapadi Village Ms. Prameela Nayak, Artist Srinath Manipal, Former President of Eshwar Nagar Residents Association Dr. Yagnesh Sharma, Sri Nagaraj, the Secretary of Eshwar Nagar Residents Welfare Association, Dr. Raghavendra Kamath, Treasurer of Eshwar Nagar Residents Welfare Association, Prof. Prakash Shenoy, Principal of Indira Shivarao Poletchinic, Mr. Subramanya Pai, Mr. Shailendra Shetty, Ms. Maya Kamath, Mr. Girish, Mr. Subraya Achar, Mr. Sathish Saliyan, Dr. Balakrishna Maddodi, All the members of various associations and students cleaned Eshwar Nagar.
